Awesome chart, though perhaps a little overdone. Still, the fact we have blizzards on offer is quite remarkable!

Pros are saying gfs won’t bring it far enough north.

Think they are going with UKMO model which keeps it further South

Other models tie in with it reaching us even UKMO would produce decent snow for the south of the region I think, however hard to tell without precipitation charts to go with it. Interesting ECM coming up.

So the cold air is starting to come in tonight. 528 dam line will pass just after midnight. We’ll be under -10 850s by 3 a.m.

To be fair the cold spell does not excite me on a snow point of view and I do think the PPN maps wI'll be accurate which shows patchy snow at best. Nothing we can do about geography and all we can hope for is troughs maintaining their intensity as they cross the mountains.

Southern parts of the region should do better than northern parts and that Met Office text forecast will be right I fancy, shower clouds will die out before reaching the coasts.

Who knows though, let's radar watch and see.

No - nothing on offer - just waiting for the inevitable LP to stall over the Midlands Friday
