Also the only regional forecasts that mention a longer spell of snow on Monday night are in Scotland. Maybe the Met see that low taking a more northerly track.

 Maximum watch.

The WRF 06Z predicted a maximum of 6.0°C here today. I recorded a maximum of 5.3°C, so a little overestimated. I’ll try and remember to do the same for each day this week.

ARPEGE :wallbash:

At least we'll get sun if it goes south so every little cloud eh. Oh the irony of that saying  Much rather that than the dull cloudy rubbish we have had the last couple of weeks.

APREGE has the trough further north and runs through the south of the region instead of the midlands, also shows some light stuff making it here.

I have been trying to say since the beginning of last week ... Easterly set ups rarely deliver any snow for this part of the NW.  It's no one's fault,  no one hates us ? it's just the way it is  -  regardless of what the charts have been saying you have to use your own personal experiences of these kind of set ups ..... Cold dry and sunny week ahead nothing at all unusual in that.

If you like the snow yes it's frustrating and bloody annoying.

Absolute crap. Not even worth taking any notice of. In no other regional forecast do they mention coasts!

????

I know mate, one of the coldest spells in the last 30 years and they seem to indicate snow may struggle at the coast! -15 uppers I'm not happy, in fact I'm quite sad!!!

The GFS still brings the low up the country.

Yes the cold block will stop its progression northwards. Depends where it stalls

It still doesn’t look a done deal does it. It wouldn’t surprise me if the warnings change again, it’s a very unstable pattern and will certainly keep the met on their toes. Calmed down now after earlier! Haha.

I fear that will be way off the mark come Friday...south and southern areas of the midlands to get the heavy snow I reckon.

Indeed.

I don't think it will get this far north which is great if you wana hang onto colder air but not so great if you want the snow from the system.

But its a long way away so will likely change :)
