Yes I hope this will verify in the couple of days.

We are way overdue for a good snow event for this region hopefully next week will deliver it!! :D

The cold air from Siberia looking pretty bitter!! I'd be wearing extra layers of clothing next week with frost on the ground lasting all day!!

I havn't seen frost lasting all day properly since 2013 I think.

The 18z blizzard is unlikely to reach here...theres a good chance it wont even reach the uk...most experts saying it will track into france...still have this nagging doubt that we wont get much snow from an easterly.

Incredible model output, I truly believe even western parts of the region will see action within a week. Looking like a very notable spell of weather on the way.

The good thing about this upcoming cold spell is that every flake will probably lay and if you do get any lying snow it won't melt within 30 minutes.

A paltry 8cms here, sorry but that blizzard would produce at lot more than that even here! Incredible run once again!

Still think the power of altitude will be evident next week.

As long as the winds are east/ north east then  oldham rochdale etc will get pummelled... if winds go SE i think the laptop might go for flying lessons.

Forget regionals for a minute, I think the whole of the UK will see lying snow by Friday.

Looking good fella, my only gripe is it didn't happen a month ago, but it still looks bloody potent.

Models still looking good for next week and at last the BBC forecasts are starting to talk about it.

in the meantime it’s just going to be bloody cold.

Dry and sunny on Sunday. Turning bitterly cold by Monday, but cloudier with scattered snow showers in the east. On Tuesday snow showers will affect most parts of the region.
