I've had malignant melanoma pretty scary though most likley due to growing up in US sun states

Aye well as a Conistonian born and bred I'm more at risk of terminal trench foot than skin cancer!

My fiver is going on a dry high pressure sat right over the UK with the snow stopping to the east and the only thing falling from the sky being low flying toys.

Nah

Days 1-8 - 45-50C Heatwave with persistent 1500mm per day rainfall.

Day 8-10 Severe drop in temperatures to -25-30C freezing up all the water in massive flowing rivers of ice on roads.

Day 10-12 Severest snowfall you've ever seen roughly 8inches and hour falling on top of the ice.

Day 12-14 Drizzle

Turned professional last week after placing several bets that snow weather warnings for the north west would fail miserably at the last moment and we’d end up with nothing.

i soon realised how easy this betting malarkey was.

The Beast from the east almost always turns out to be a chicken with a limp.

I wonder whether it will have enough oomph to change the fortunes of our bedraggled region

GFS 18z is uh. take it or leave it, up to 140 hours. Although I suspect it will look better later on in the run.

Yeah cold & dry to start with, but the building blocks for the cold spell begin within 3 days now so looking good.
