To be Honest I did not see the ECM Roll out so made the mistake of going in the mod Thread only read a few posts and the Razor Blades were coming out and the Mods were doing the usual Order thing .

Just Played the ECM Through in my own time and does not look to bad Dry and Very cold with all the snowy conditions heading to France and the Alps now that is a trend I do not want to see from the ECM Tomorrow

Morning.I just get the feeling when the ECM starts Loosing a bit of interest the GFS starts to play silly buggers too.

Will be watching the 18z closely tonight.

saying all that the ECM finishes with a GH which will benefit us more in the long run Hopefully.

Onto the ECM ENS and then the 18z

I see depression has set in the MAD thread because the ECM is not showing blizzards on day 8, 9 and 10.

I give up with some posters.

Yes I make that mistake often usually in the morning when I do not have enough time, only to find out later the run/runs are fine. The disappointment comes from the watered down Easterly from the ECM however other models show different, but for me whichever way it pans out it still screams very cold and for us I'm sure the snow will follow if not via any Easterly then later down the line once the pattern moves onto Greenland. The way things are going though I'm sure it will change again, the good thing is each road leads to brutal cold eventually and at just 5 days out we couldn't ask to be in a better position really. All good! :good:

PS: Here is the ECM mean at 240, pretty damn good if you ask me.

Looking on the bright side, we should at least be looking at several days of crisp, cold sunny weather come the end of the week. No point worrying about precipitation amounts this far out.

And all Happier in the MOD thread again the ECM seems to be a Outlier

Will we see the great netweather depression 2018? Lol. Best to take a break from the models and not hang on every run.

If the GFS 18z follows the Ecm12z I'd expect much to be spilt.

That's put the mockers on it now! Hopefully the models don't suddenly flip and we end up with wind and rain...lol! I'm heading to the Lakes next weekend and conditions look set to be absolutely cracking for winter walking.

If the ECM now continues to shunt the coldest air Southwards each run, we could be looking at photos of snow in the Sahara by this time next week with a major postmortem in the mod thread about how it could have all gone so wrong...lol!

I’m on the fence with this one although it’s looking like it will be damn cold sat on there.

one part of me wants bitter cold and heavy drifting snow purely because it’s as rare as rocking horse muck these days but the other has one eye on lighter nights and some warmth with an attitude that if I can’t have snow in winter I certainly don’t want it in spring.

what I definitely don’t want to see though although probably the most likely outcome is record breaking snow across the East and SE while we enjoy sunshine and conditions as dry as the Atacama.

No doubt in a few days we’ll know
