I can't get over how many airfrost you've had compared to here.

Tonight we have the 3rd airfrost of the winter .. currently -0.1C

1981-2010 average is 23.5 air frosts per winter so still well below the long-term average.

Interesting charts showing up on the models with this SSW. I’m trying not to get my hopes up though, as there’s still every chance high pressure will set up in the wrong position for us!

The crucial thing is the interesting charts are within a semi-reliable time-frame now.

Just the ECM that is a pain in the Rear.

Been poor all winter but we cannot dismiss it because it does not show what us cold and snow freaks want.

OMG it is as well! If it gets heavier I can call it the 8th snow day of the winter.

You've definitely got heavier precipitation coming in behind it, so a question of if temps and DP can stay low enough for it to remain as snow.

It’s a race against time. Think i’ve got about another 2 hours maximum. That biting south-easterly outside reminds me of one of those snow days in March 2013.

Getting a bit heavier now. Proper beautiful fluffy snowflakes. About 1.5/10 in intensity.
