More on the M66

Highways England have just tweeted: “Our control in the North West have just notified us of a collision involving 2 cars just before J1 on the northbound carriageway which they are currently dealing with. There are injuries so it may be some time.”

Been at work today so unable to post but had checks on the radar though. I would say occasional snow showers around here today, my place of work is slightly higher up by 50 metres and it makes quite a bit of difference as there was a light covering where I work with a heavy snow shower in progress whilst back in Morecambe it was a slushy dusting. Today kind of went how I thought but I thought showers would be more widespread across the region in fairness.

All that said, pleased too see some members down the south of the region getting proper lying snow after the dissapointment for some last week with the weather front dying a death.

Faintest slushy dusting here in the snow desert of Urmston and that is the best for a few years!

At least it has been enough to turn all surfaces white - if I ignore the patchiness.

Dry as a bone as expected, glad I went to bed when I did. No frost of course as expected, 3.2°C and rising slowly currently.
