So while you guys are all showing off about the amount of snow you have all got spare a thought for us north of say Lancaster who have had absolutely sod all from this. Can't believe how many times this has happened not only this winter but over the years. With no significant snow expected to hit the lakes/Cumbria I Can honestly say I feel physically sick right now, does not exactly help when suffering from severe depression, sometimes the simplest joys in life help. Rant over!

To be honest I have a dusting of hail on the bin lid.

However, I have seen snow falling.

Preston to Lancaster really is the worst place in the country for snow

Located south lakes mate. Missed a huge snow shower last night which left a covering less than 30 miles north. Today missed two significant showers to the south this time, again by less than 30 miles.

If these 2 behind the blob that's just hit us take the same track. Then maybe we will get some more eagerly awaited snow. It may miss us in Manchester thou. ??

Easing off now but dumped down a centimetre or 2 in no time. Nice thick covering on all surfaces. I await the arrival of the finger but suspect it could slide to the East. Day rescued anyway now!

Nothing worse than an east sliding finger

Looks to me like this will be the route of the sausage. With me being on the east of Manchester I could just get lucky. Oldham looks in the sweet spot to me.

Right I’m throwing the towel in now;flow is slowly backing now so showers will get progressively more north of here through the night. Also passed the steepest lapse rates now. I move on to Tuesday morning.
