Ha,a bit sleety here now,had snow falling a few times today, you had none at all?

Nothing but rain, had slight sleet before and near wet my pants. Every warning I tell my daughter snow is coming. Another warning appeared for tomorrow. They should put a warning up every day, get it right one day. Ha ha

seems to me north westers are great for your neck of the woods CS :)

But from a selfish pov a slight shift in wind direction sends all the showers

From what I can gather, the wind direction is currently a wnw, but as the day goes on is set to turn more nwesterly.

Had a decent snow shower before. Fingers crossed there’s more to come.

Heavy sleet then for a  time. Showers passing through rather quickly.

Doesn't look like much but it appears that the showers are pepping up a bit more now over the Irish sea.

What snow shower...we had a haily sleety shower earlier

It was definitely wet snow. Might have just been the intensity as it was massive and drifted back to being sleety afterwards

Anyway just had some more heavy snow dusting much of the ground blowing around in the wind something rotten and suddenly veered back to sleety rain again and gone in five minutes. Second time that's happened today.

So close but need a drop in temperatures of much more prolonged intense showers for anything significant,

So i’ll say it again: the flow is currently wnw 295°, veering nw 310° by 17Z, then backing wnw again 290° by 23Z.

Those showers seem to be merging together off the Lancashire-Cumbria coast to merge with that system going into cumbria, not as prolonged but something to keep an eye on for those in South Lancashire and the Manchester area as it spins in.

GFS still suggesting back end snow in Tuesday, Euro 4 suggesting this for the far west of Ireland as well at.

Coukd be an interesting transition if it happens, it could be slow or dramatic. I'm going for a dramatic one.

U reckon it's going to be like 4 years ago to the day? Tues 11th Feb '14, very heavy snow for around 2 hours 9-11am, covering too on wet ground
