Yes i wondered that myself Kevin, seen it happening quite a lot this winter.

Looks like we are relying on a streamer setting up, had one hail shower here and its approaching 1pm.

Another epic fail from the meto and bbc apps which had snow showers all morning/.

Not convinced it is a fail from the met office. The app showed the percentage chance of a shower it didn’t say definitely showers everywhere. The nature of these kind of showers meant some areas would do better than others and that could not be pined down until the showers developed

Hail showers have now been replaced by snow showers

Couldn’t agree more. I don’t take any notice of warnings from meto any longer to be fair.

Looks like I’m stuck in the middle of anything coming off the Irish Sea

That brings me to the song I've been singing all morning, snow to the north of me snow to the south of me and here am stuck in in the middle with sun...

Apparently it was snowing here before, but wasn’t looking at the time so can’t confirm.

Don't give up hope - that streamer appears to be widening and there's a hell of a lot more precip behind it, reckon we could get hit in an hour or so.

Looks like Iceland is the place to be today with 75kt gusts and a snowstorm, the weather being so bad a EZY flight from Luton to Keflavik has ended up returning back to the UK and landing in Glasgow. Manchester METAR still forecasting 'thundersnow' anytime between now and 8pm.

well its moan or laugh for my location again.

So i guess gallows humour it is.

Just looked at euro4 6z and its cheshire gap streamer all the way until after 18:00 when the showers are progged to reach my area.

So, we'll see.

In a snow free zone? Impossible :D

Yes was hopeful earlier but returning to type now .... It's been dry ever since that last shower around 11am.  Like a few others I'm currently sat in between the 2 bands of showers.
