GFS still suggesting back end snow in Tuesday, Euro 4 suggesting this for the far west of Ireland as well at.

Coukd be an interesting transition if it happens, it could be slow or dramatic. I'm going for a dramatic one.

Agree with this Kev. Looking quite heavy too, hopefully the ground isn' too saturated.

Showers turning to snow now. Trying to stick to the cars and grass.

I’m not forecast anything wintry until around 4pm. That seems a bit late from what I’m reading here?

i know we had a very heavy hail shower a few hours ago.

Good start to the day, a few wintry/hail showers passing through.  Leaving a covering but after 20-30 minutes most of it melting away, need a streamer set-up with shower after shower to cause anything disruptive.

The symbols are garbage. Best a guide at most and not to be taken literally or sacrosanct.

So were under another yellow warning, "frequent snow showers leading to accumulation on some surfaces". The local one gives no depths but the national one gives us 2-5cm above 150m as a guideline, although inner city warming will no doubt affect that a bit. Met Office has me down for snow from 11am to 1pm, then sleet from 1pm to 3pm and finally snow and heavy snow from 3pm until 9pm tomorrow. The BBC has me down for sleet this morning and light snow from 7pm-8pm and 2am-4am turning to sleet overnight. So the first real test of the new BBC system against the MetO. Obviously icons are a bit old lady darts at this time but there's a clear difference in expectation from the output.

That said no snow as of yet.

I think that streamer setup is beginning to form through Southport/Formby filtering into the Central/South Greater Manchester area and especially effecting the Ashton/Glossop vicinity.  I'm just scraping it's northern edge and just had another hail shower.

And still no heavy precipitation on the BBC app. Got to be a bug.

Great start to the day here. Snowing steadily with a dusting on all surfaces.

I'm on the southern edge of it at the moment an definitely sleet mixed in with it. No sign of hail.
