Cloudy after clear spells early in the night with a ground frost, a low of 0.1 C, temperature rising from about 0300 with slight rain from 0600, so far 1.0 mm, so cloudy with ocnl slight rain and a temperature of 2.5 C

The first half of the night was dry with clear spells. Cloud increased towards midnight to bring light, occasionally moderate, snow during the early hours and continuing since then.

A cold and cloudy start with a mixtuture of mostly light sleet and wet snow.Not settling though.Winds are light.

Clear spells for a time last night leading to a widespread frost. More cloudy through the early hours with out breaks of light to moderate sleet. Overcast this morning with mainly light rain and sleet.

Clear spells, and cloudy spells overnight, just missing a ground frost, staying breezy. Bright spells and dry so far this morning. Sunny spells developing, staying dry.

Lower areas in Sheffield light rain higher areas and in the peak district light snow. Needs to be heavier to turn it to snow lower down which is unlikely

Bizarre day as temperatures rose the light rain turned to sleet then died briefly. Now sleeting again.

Cold and dull with persistent light rain all day. Maximum 4.3, minimum 2.8. Wind light NE.

Yesterday: dry with sunny spells, generally cloudier in the afternoon. Feeling rather cold in the wind. Maximum 7.7, minimum 3.0. Wind light N.

A chilly, overcast day with almost continuous light snow, briefly turning to sleet during mid afternoon then back to snow again by early evening. This morning's lying snow gradually thawed during the day with only patches left by late afternoon.
