Yes...Yes that is the case . In all seriousness, 23.6c seems rather low even with the common dull weather that accompanies bank - holiday weather!

1995 was the hottest with 28.6c in Cheltenham but it was recorded on the 6th which meant it missed the BH Monday

Yes but what was the temp on 8th ...i remember the hot weather went right through the bank holiday into the Tuesday..also 8th was 50th anniversary of VE day

take it back looks like the Sunday was the last hot day..bank holiday was noticeably cooler with temps of 17c

1st-4th May records all held by 1990, which were a Tues-Fri. Strange indeed!

This is one of the best bank holiday weekend's I can remember in a long time unbroken sunshine and warm but with fairly low humidity

Its not gonna be 3 days long though  It can stay upwards of  70f until  October.. Hopefully be above average temperature wise this year. I know the Met Office is predicting that for most of May. Apart from odd break down now and then
