The milder air arrived around 2000 yesterday evening with a rapid rise in temperature from just below 0c to around 5c. A few showers at first and becoming quite windy during the evening but the second half of the night was dry with broken cloud and a decreasing breeze. Sunny spells and the occasional very light shower so far this morning. A  remarkably complete snow cover considering the tempeature was around 4c for most of the night.

One or two very light showers but on the whole a dry day with sunny intervals. The snow cover is proving very resistant to thawing completely.
