Another horrible cloudy wet day, made even worse by the fact it's cold too.

Clear spells, widespread frost overnight. Turning cloudy through the early hours. Light snow setting in around dawn. At observation, light/moderate wet snow, light accumulation of wet snow and slush.

 

Maximum temperature to 18:00 GMT yesterday 1.9∞C.

Minimum temperature overnight -1.5∞C

24-hour maximum 1.9∞C

24-hour minimum -1.5∞C

Minimum temperature on grass -3.9c

Maximum wind gust: (Midnight to Midnight) 7.3 mph ENE

Rainfall total: 3.5mm

Clear spells overnight, widespread frost. Turning cloudy through the early hours with a little light sleet and freezing rain. This morning so far, overcast, light freezing rain and sleet, icy in places underfoot. Further sleet and wet snow through the morning, this turning briefly moderate, though no accumulation. The early afternoon saw the sleet die out. A few cloud breaks appearing by late afternoon. Feeling cold.

Light-moderate snow during the morning and briefly into the afternoon gave another 4.5cm before turning to freezing rain. The rain eventually cleared to the south east around 1600 but the temperature remained below freezing. Thick fog all day.
