Indeed their tails are up this morning. Just feel one slight downgrade will ensure mass panic and if this cold spells fails to take hold i reckon many will up sticks and not return until November.  

Agreed Its been a long winter down here as have the last 3. I had  memory post flash up on facebook today from 3 years ago from me getting rather excited about 1cm of snow on the ground.....1cm!!! Thats alot of snow for down here! So 3 years since anything settled.

This is very similar to my football hardships. Every year I convince myself it could be this year!! And without fail every year it isn’t

Well if this cold spell does arrive, it better not be one of those oh it's gonna be great for 95% of the county because we all know where the other bloody 5% is going to be located don't we, in the south west! 

Things do look interesting though and it's great to see the mod thread buzzing again.

I said we would need an epic cold spell to see snow down here, and we "may" well be heading for one. Fingers & toes crossed!

I want to be convinced that a really cold spell is in the works but with the unconfined joy in the MAD thread they are only 1 run from disaster. For me I'll need to wait till Friday to be convinced that some deep cold let alone sleet is destined our way.

Not quite sure why it would be showing snow anyway since it didn’t look anything like cold enough for snow today.
