Got my hopes up for a split second when I saw a warning for snow. Of course it’s not actually anywhere near me.

As usual it's so close for me I can smell it but not to be.

Hint of sleet but no snow.

Rain here with no hint of anything wintry.

Spending the weekend in Bourton On The Water with friends and woke up to the view below. Started snowing a while back, settling fast and currently coming down quite thick. Unfortunately my webcams 50mls away at home shows the same old rainy view which will spread up here later. Oh well at least I can say I have seen some real snow this season.

Temperature is rising so no hope here. Up to 1.7c now so slightly less cold rain for a change today.

Rapid warm up now... 1.9c

Snowing here, sticking although providing only a partial covering so far. Really surprised to see anything.

Heavy cold rain in Stroud - some evidence of quickly melting wet snow bottom of my van windscreen. Popped outside, really annoying as it feels colder than last time it snowed properly!

Belting it down here with a tropical temperature of 4.8 C but feeling colder than that .

Off to Yeovilton air museum later on . I'd better check the road conditions .

It's 0.8C here and a covering, very light but looks like it's turning to rain as I type.

I've never been so excited to have a 1040mb high slap bang on top of us...

Reached 12C down here yesterday lol, got quite windy for a bit with gusts to 37mph on my station (valley site).

Currently dull and drizzly with a temp of 8.9C, up from a low of 3.8C overnight. The drizzle is settling well.

Met Office forecast had 'heavy rain' symbols from about 3am until late afternoon, but unsurprisingly the GFS seems to be closer with it's rainfall distribution.

If the day's a write off like this I'd rather it was raining properly in some ways

Sorry to those to the west but it's snowing quite steadily here and settling on the grass. (fortunately not on the roads so win win). Looks like some heavier pulses are in bound too. Not sure if we'll get to build a snowman before the thaw arrives, but as this is possibly winter's last hurrah we'll take it). :cold::cold:  0 to 0.5 C
