Just said to my boss, should I get some rock salt in just in case?

I would so like to be proved wrong about the rock salt... ??

I have a bag I've not used for years, in fact so long the bag has disintegrated in the sun it's been there so long unopened, and a set of "Snow socks" for the car that I have never used in 10 years, (no not for cold feet..).

ROFL, let me see, ah yes 1cm in Dorset, nothing to get bothered about that's for sure, the flip flops remain in the Avatar..

Just noticed that the gap between 6cm and 1cm is basically along the Hampshire Dorset border. Puts me the right side of it. :p

Have you got 18" feet?I shan't need them, with a 10% stab at the forecast being correct for these sorts of things, that's a mere 1MM :cray:

A classic snowfall blocking of parts of Dorset by Salisbury Plain in these rare BFE set ups IMO

Don’t waste your time looking at ppn charts!!! They are useless in these setups!! Waste of bandwidth!

get a decent radar app and look out the window

* unless they show the southwest getting hammered, then they are spot on :D

I'll be OK, I'm midway between the copious amounts Mild Matt is going to get and the nothingness that Mapantz will gratefully receive..

Does it have a depth meter drawn on it?

Hmm might need to work on that for version 2.

Just waiting for the media to hype it over the weekend and prompt panic buying in the supermarkets of bread, milk and beer, oh and salt.... lots of surges in sales of table salt!

I'm going to pre buy from mini tescos bread and milk just incase lol! Then get the usual amount at the weekend. And we almost certainly will need salt too.

Hubby takes the 2 year old Sat lunch time when i'm at swimming lessons with 5 year old. Then picks us up on the way back.

*Shopping channel started*

Can we make bread on a gas hob when things get dire?!

on a footnote with at the talk of the approaching cold I had a great conversation with my dad on Sunday who can remember working as a paper boy in the Winter of 64 and recollected the big SW snowstorm of 78 when, as a family we all got caught out and stranded for a week in the biggest snow drifts I'll ever see in my lifetime. Good times :)

Before or after the gas is cut off due to the big freeze
