Lakes on Nuffield ind estate last froze over in 2010, it’s on the cards again!

Yes! And on my app it looks like the wind is going to start swinging to the east as early as later as tonight?

Last mild day for a couple of weeks here. Overnight low of 9c. Looking at forecasts best lag utility room pipes again. Looking cold and dry inland for the foreseeable. Good luck to you all with the snow  I should get yet more opportunity for even more frost pics

Still looks very good this morning with little change. Only concern is lack of ppn for West Country currently.

I know snow charts aren't that reliable but I would like to see some where it shows snow over all of us down here and not a gaping hole all round us. Sorry if that sounds a bit down but currently on painkillers and hoping I feel better for when it does snow .IT'S  OUR TURN!

Is this just me or does everyone feel like this... like scenes from “The Snowman” when the little boy wakes up, blinks, realised the room is a lot brighter than it should be... runs to the window and sees it has snowed...”

Truly magical! Hope we are all doing this next week.. although at this rate I won’t be able to sleep through excitement! I barely can now!!

I fear another March 2013 for our area:wallbash:

Thats my only main concern.... another very cold spell without any snow to go with it.

If we could get a decent trough through on easterly though think of the overnight lows achievable with snow cover..:santa-emoji:

It is also a couple of weeks earlier this time around.

On the money as always NK. But as the old adage says get the cold in first. Seen quite a few model runs suggesting the chance of low pressure moving up from the south once the cold is estabilished, that will be the best route even the welsh mountains can't get in the way of that..........no doubt they will try the cheeky beggars!

Almost Spring like out on the Hoe this morning.

Youd have no idea what’s coming if you didn’t model watch...

That seems to be the message within the MetO extended text forecasts as well.

interesting times!

I’ve broken silence to one person, but she has cancer at a very advanced stage, so it’s justified imo. She can’t afford to get ill as all she is doing now is prolonging what little time she has left ☹️. I don’t want her getting a cold as it could turn nasty as she is very vulnerable to infection. I would advise anyone that knows someone in a similar situation does the same to be honest.

Dubai Floods: Another Warning Sign for Desert Regions?

The flooding in the Middle East desert city of Dubai earlier in the week followed record-breaking rainfall.
