Do you think we will see snow Smartie? Seems like we've managed to miss every snow event so far this winter, what makes this one different.

Karlos beat me to it, looks no different to the failed attempts so far this Winter.

Must admit I wasn't  expecting it to show snow as the front crossed our area but that's indeed what it showed, I guess we'll find out in a couple of days.

Yep, we've got to strike lucky sometime, maybe it'll be Tuesday.

I thought there was supposed to be wintry showers tomorrow

Here’s what the hi res gfs thinks about it. Which overdoes snowfall anyway

That doesn't look good, but going by what we've seen so far this winter, it's probably about right

Temperature still riding in double digit land at 10.1C and still raining. Quick check of the BBC to see if they forecast ice tonight after their 5c earlier in the week and ice patches in the area..

No more rain this evening after 7mm today, but the wind has kicked up. Sounds like another November night!

Thanks Karlos - that crossed my mind, but what does it mean exactly?

It’s a block shaped like it’s namesake. Once in situ incredibly hard to shift! I’ve not seen evidence of one yet, but I bow to his superior knowledge.

If we can get that somewhere north of the UK! Then we are locked in!

Ah - thanks for the explanation. All incredibly interesting... have we ever witnessed anything on this scale? I don’t think so...

lets hope the hype is worth it!

Just popped out for my last smoke and saw how clear the skies are! Orion looks amazing! Wind gusting to 35mph, though.

If I'm not mistaken, the last good winter Omega block was 2010.

More cold rain. Yay!

:nonono:

I was hoping today would give us a good few snow showers piling through, but MO only have me down for rain showers and one sleet symbol... very disappointing.

A lovely blue sky sunny morning.
Was 10c at midnight, and a low of 4.5c at 7:30am.
The winds over the evening and night were not the forecasted 40-45mph, just a handful of 28-32mph gusts with a 15-22mph WSW wind.

Now 4.7c, 1005.4 hPa, 8-12mph Westerly wind.
