signs though of this area starting to expand, perhaps this is the point where the front gets a bit more umph in the afternoon/evening for more South eastern areas

Imagine that is convection and where we have seen sunshine all morning a few towering cumulus around. Had a faintest of snow flurries here and now breaking up.

pretty much as modelled.....occluded front is rapidly decaying.....some in the region might receive some light snow but many parts will stay dry IMO

it's the remnants of a decaying trough that brought patchy light snow to the midlands, parts of northern england, a few flakes to a lucky few in central southern england this morning (not to be confused with the occluded front stalled out over the western UK

Who cares about snow when you can have Pizza Hut as a birthday treat for the little man. Then it’s soft play fun!

Will revisit radar watch (chasing rainbows) later. Good day all :D

It made it to 4.8°C here, but dropped back a touch. Interestingly, if tomorrows max get's over 4.6°C, this week's lowest maximum temperature will not be the lowest so far this  year. It outlines how over-hyped this all was.

I get the feeling this front is not going to make any further.

It's all getting a little bit boring now. Still, at least it's dry and sunny.

Looks like some slightly heavier ppn moving down from the North, that's if the Welsh mountains don't destroy it.

It will ?

Just noticed the MetO expanded snow and ice warning. I'm in that catchment now ... but there's only an hour and a half of the valid period left. :nea: A mix of sunshine and cloud here. Radar looks promising - currently forecasting a little convergence. 8)
