I fear that Salisbury Plain will be our downfall, but everythings seems to be ahead of the Euro4 for the South West.

This is last night's 0z Euro4 for noon today.

And this is where we're at @10am.

At least we have a ticket this time.

Was going to add for Friday looks impressive for some heavy back edge snow as the cold 850hpa temps move in.

Temperatures hovering around the 2'c mark, arriving early morning, marginal but could pay off.

I've just ran the radar on animation, manually and automatically - is that thing even moving? Will it move or just fizzle?

We have had some beautiful large snowflakes falling, not enough to do anything but a decent size.  Would be nice to have a lot more, but not too hopeful.

Don't worry first rule of prediction of snow is that it will not snow.

Was heavy frost and starting to snow when I left home, got to work near Bristol, barely a frost, broken cloud with the sun coming out.

Situation normal here in the rural Fun Factory, bit of frost, bit of sun,no breeze, grass nice and green, concrete nice and dry and my more northern weather advisor jtay says thanks to Salisbury Plain its going to stay that way, with a half days ivy clearance to do jtay you had better be correct,Millwall fans will find Downton lol

I think it will fizzle due to the fact it’s moving so slowly so the energy is releasing most of it now and high-pressure to the south west will squeeze it but the northern arm will continue to East Anglia give them a few centimetres

Hope I’m completely wrong though of course

Now within the "snow band" by some 20 miles and still no snow :wallbash:

Cornish north coast looks like the best spot. Lots of bright echos over the sea brushing against the mainland.

Ha. I'm sure a few flakes won't stop you. And good luck, I'm not in Downton, technically. :ninja:

RE Friday, I’m not going to get my hopes up. Nick F’s post in the Mad Thread sums up why quite nicely.
