I forgot that weather front is now moving south so anything that might hit here is still way up north, no point looking out west as that's going to hit Devon & Cornwall.

It's getting heavier! Really wasn't expecting anything :yahoo:

Looking at the radar I really think more in the region may get lucky! Fingers crossed for you all :cold:

It’s coming from the north that patch of precipitation that’s grown in the last hour

That explains it Fromey, You`re  slightly north of me and its very very slow moving, lets hope that can intensify a little more.

What do you think about the main band of snow? Will it make it before splitting and fizzling out?

Never mind welsh hills breaking it up.. it’s those pesky Cotswolds for us

I saw two very tiny snowflakes just now. No sign of anything overnight. No idea what is on the hills. Radar looking rosier than actual.

Teacher's Prayer for Snow

- John Hillen
Oh Lord, let it snow.
Let it drift and let it blow.
In the morning, no real fuss,
Just enough to stop the bus.
Enough to make the county say:
"There will be no school today."
Let the radio report:  "Snow's deep!"
And I'll roll over for more sleep.
Then later on, say maybe ten,
I'll turn the radio on again.
Just in time to hear them say:
"It's strange, the snow has gone away."
And then I'll know, You made it stop.
So I can go to the mall and shop.
Please Lord, just hear my teacher's plea,
And make it snow for the kids and me.

Are we sure it’s moving east?

Looks like a painfully slow  south moving band to me. Meanwhile I'm enjoying the crisp, clear sunshine as 2 bands slide south to the east and west of me

Looks like it’s stalled now. Playing the radar a few frames back and forth shows it sliding southwards more than it’s advancing eastwards.

At least to my untrained eye!

Snowing heavy In Frome

There's a thin strip of precipitation heading straight for Cardiff, should make a certain member very happy lol

Radar says its snowing here in plymouth and up at home. It is not snowing!

Who would of thought Cornwall was the sweet spot for snow!!
