Something a bit suspect about the ICON, although it does seem to want to pep the front up as suggested, but only for 3 hours :nea:

Wonder if the upper level low that is due to bring widespread snow to France might just help our front keep some more moisture? Purely conjecture, but I think this might be why it picks up again towards the SE in recent hi-res runs.

You answered your own question bud

Looks ominous. Probably a lot more so than it actually is.

That’s exactly where that cloud looks like it is. I’m just south of that.

Sky is looking much darker to the north east too of Reading,,, could just be time of day and brightness of sun in the south, as there is nought on the radar.

Blimey, I think one of the inmates from the MAD thread must have escaped and hacked the BBC web site with a title like "If you love cold weather, happy days ahead!"

I'm game if you are :D:friends:

I've got a couple of those too. Wonder how low the freezing level is? If we could climb high enough to get above and turn them on strong enough, reckon we could create mini areas of evaporative cooling and have our own snowstorm?

Certainly not new, been using this website since 2008. Ok - there is supposed to be a SSW, still hasn't happened yet and if it does, has no guarantee of any cold weather effecting our tiny island. So until it shows in the models it is all just FI. I think that's a fair point of view....but my point of view may differ to you. That's what a forum is about.

Agreed in the MOD thread, in the strat thread too, here in the regionals it's all a lot more light hearted. This regional in particular is generally just random gibberish and mickey taking, don't think any of us take anything seriously, least of all the weather.

Sometimes the middle of February can bring an unexpected theme of romance, and if you like your weather cold, you might fall in love with the forecast for this period!

I tried gibberish, but I found it way too hard, so I learnt mandarin instead., although |I believe according to this thread gin does  help in the understanding..

Nasty dark clouds approaching here from Buckinghamshire. Could we get a snow flurry? Eyes to the window.
