Just been reading about Yakutz in Russia where the  temperature at 6am will be minus 45.  They say that a quick dash to the local store will possibly result in frost bite and you are told not to wear glasses because the metal sticks to your cheeks and you pull off strips of flesh when you remove them.

Would that cold enough for some lol.

Probably start moaning that it’s to cold to snow ?

If you get a chance read Catacol post in the mad thread, well worth a read

Yup Chio and Catacol are a breathe of fresh air in there tonight. Hopefully it stops the numpties in their tracks from posting garbage for a couple of hours at least ?

There will be a full on party now!

Is this it? Are we on the cusp of something special?

I’m just a lurker with no knowledge what so ever but I just wanted to say that you lot in here make this a great place to be.  There is no nastiness or toys thrown out of the pram and you are all knowledgable and I’m slowly learning bits and bobs, so a big thank you to you all :D:yahoo::hi:

We are without question on the cusp of something special. But! At the moment it’s just that!

It’s a bit like when I think “I know I’ll bake a cake” in my head I know what it’s going to look like, I’ve got all the ingredients, everything is perfect, and then as I bring my cake out of the oven, I bloody drop it!

We need to wait and see, and not get to ahead of ourselves. I’m excited though!

Hehe - yes they are indeed @khodds The only trouble now is I want next week to pass rather quickly which is a shame because the next few days are not without interest. Some light snow is possible. However I'd go for around Feb 15 for the real fun to begin.. and the signal to strengthen as the children prepare to go back to school. For those of us in the SW this is a better setup than the famous Dec 2010 - we will need to see how it pans out of course over the next week or so... and there are bound to be some bumps on the Mod thread as the usual half empty brigade go looking for the runs that suggest "normal February weather" - but once the block is in place it is all eyes down for the perfectly angled channel runner that might bring inches and inches of white gold with it.

Being born in 1992 means I missed a lot of what people mention in here, even Feb 91.

We had a foot of level snow, if not more, at sea level with snow drifts right up to the top of the back door of the house, we couldn't open it! Never experienced snowfall like that before, not that I could remember anyway as I was 9 back then.

Must be someone on here who can trump that and make me feel old too.

On a side note I'm on for doing a Karlos if I keep up the rate of likes I'm giving tonight.

Funny when you ask a genuine question in the Mod thread you don’t get an answer..

Anyone in here know?

this chart suggests a :db: qtr is not appearing. But is this just the result of an operational run that has just rolled out and hasn’t smelt the coffee yet? Or is it gathered from separate data?

TIA

Sorry if I’m straying off topic

Looks like a dentist's xray to me.
