Come on guys let's not get downbeat about the lack of snow. Underwhelmed as I am sure you are about the lack of snow. Northern areas will always get more snow than us down here. That's just the way it is, our time will come, we just need patience! Snow is the best!

Just looking at the North Atlantic Synoptic chart, as published by NOAA, they have the Azores high moving South over the next 12 hours. They also have a load of fronts heading eastwards from the USA which look as though they will truncate the Northern side of the Azores high, thus allowing the colder air to descend further south as it crosses the UK. In other words, a greater risk of snow on our patch, here in the far South West. Looking good for Tuesday and Wednesday for snow from mid morning onwards om Tuesday for Devon and Cornwall but blocked by Easterlies for Somerset and Wiltshire as the cold front dies a death over Devon. Their synoptic will be worth looking at tomorrow lunchtime.

Who needs the mod thread. Everything is right here

true but  for the west country to go this long is unusual! Speaking from an elevated position It is a very long run of  almost nothing even by our southern standards.:nonono:

You can't get downbeat when you're not upbeat in the first place! Learn from Le Pantz! :D

Did I read somewhere that Wednesday was supposed to be the peak of the cold? It looks like being Tuesday for my forecast. lol!

I've had far too many tipples to bother with the mad thread, give it to me straight, in simple terms that will make sense to my more than slightly pickled brain, what's happening next week? Snow? No snow? More wind and rain?
