Today's rainfall seems to be a lot different than in amount to the models, we picked up a mere 2.3mm.

Yup another model fail!!

Even with my identical 2.3mm the roads covered in puddles and standing water. Amazing really

Even tomorrow has been toned down for our locale Dorset, 10mm expected now according to EURO4.

However much rain we get tomorrow will not only be squally, but also rattle through quite quickly.

Today, almost springlike at 12C with broken cloud and some sunshine after earlier hints of drizzle.

Grotty and miserable in Southampton, that annoying drizzle that makes me wish it would either rain & get it over with or stop altogether :nea:

Haha, the tables are turned, Ian F. has been reading the MAD thread, they've been saying this since end of November, now they have I.F. citing it...At least in summer the chances of a summer plume only gets people hopes up 2-3days before the event, and NOT3-4 weeks away. (Tongue in cheek :whistling:)

That to me, suggests surface cold from high pressure.

See that's the difference between Ian F. and the MAD thread he says "Omnipresent" now that's a level up from maybe and possibly..:spiteful:

I’ve not checked the Mad thread, has this been picked up in there yet! ?

For this region I can think of something that’s been more omnipresent than cold.

Cloud. :lazy:

The mood seems to be ok but it’s still quiet.

Just as it was earlier it’s been dull and damp all afternoon with drizzle on and off throughout.

Only difference today is it feels even less like winter.

I think this winter has felt more like a protracted November but today definitely feels like a taste of last October. Cloudy, quite muggy, breezy with rain never far away.

So a feisty spell of wind/rain tomorrow morning as Georgina throws her toys out the pram at us, could prove interesting for a while as the front crosses the area..

Netweather's own snow forecast looks interesting from 5th Feb for those in the South West. Most of the UK gets it as well. Long way off, but....
