Greetings to you all in the South and South-West :)

The previous thread was flooded with pages and pages of weather chat that it looked like it was about to burst, so here’s a hot new thread for you to continue your discussions of the weather in the South West and Central Southern areas of the U.K!

Please keep things friendly in here or you may jinx it for any possible future snow chances.

And I see that it’s someone’s Birthday. ? Happy Birthday Nights King! ??

You know things are bad in the mod thread for us when there is talk of 'building blocks' again :nonono:

Surely the building blocks have been around for years and still no cold.. :wallbash:

Maybe this thread should be named south of the M4 thread...

Funny you should say that, I was thinking they should rename the Scotland Regional Narnia :pardon:

What happened to our promised dry day tomorrow? Now going to be icy rain. Hurrumph.

i Just cannot get excited about this high pressure being modelled! You can wish it North all you like, but there’s more chance of Arsenal winning the league than that happening. Try telling the Mad thread that ?‍♂️

And if it gets stuck like that like it probably will, we'll be back to no weather for ages again.

I agree, unless we're lucky enough to get surface cold from it?! ie Saturday, February 4th 2012. I recorded -8.9°C and that was on a Davis Vantage Vue at 4m high. I suspect the temp would have been lower if the thermohygrometer was at the standard measuring height.

High pressure being modelled bad for proper cold but excellent for drying out the moor. After the shambles of the last week I vote for a dry moor

It’ll take you a week to get there! ?. We drove to the Pyrenees last summer, 2,500 miles there and back. I still need a holiday to get over it!!

Morning all, a damp start as pressure and temperature rise after the overnight rainfall. Currently 7.2C and overcast and calm with a light breeze in from the SW.

It’s vile outside. Just packed the boy off to football training, “you’re on your own today son”.

I cannot wait for spring now. Got 2 holidays booked for May/June, one a week away with the lads, and the other a family holiday. Both in places Hot!!

I’m still hoping we will have a cold February, but snow just ain’t the same the further into Feb we go as the sun gets higher and the days longer. Unless you are blessed with altitude that is.
