So North Nottinghamshire may yet still see snowy activity tomorrow / Friday despite what the Met and BBC apps are currently saying ??

Met significantly downgraded snow now for Thursday and not even a shower on Friday. So it's Met vs BBC lol.

What's that on the app?  What's your location can't see on the phone.

Cannot work out that shower activity on radar? Was moving NE ish but also appears now to go a bit SE? Am I seeing for things or wishful thinking?

No complaints so far anyway, has been a good day weather wise and now down to -7!!

Then during Friday and spell of snow pushes north across the region.

I see a lot of people thinking they won't see anything but, the above is what all the models and forecasts show.

The BBC Weather broadcasts keep showing Friday as a mainly South West and Wales snow event, with very little snow elsewhere.

After a disappointing few days here it's snowingsteadily now and totals are starting to add up.The radar looks very good for the Derby area.Could be an interesting  hour or two here.Heres hoping.

Starting to think an area of ppn may spring up ahead of the band like in Jan 2013. The only thing I can think of for Met Office app to be showing heavy snow in my area at 3-6am. No way will the main band make it up here in 7 hours, its not even on the radar yet.

Lol my location (hinckley) just in the middle. You never know both areas north east and to south west hit the middle and it turns out the best.

Not enterly true bbc has now for a few days shown snow moving north through friday and heavy snowfall to..at the moment the met office have it down to a pure south west event and bbc a mix of both..i personally think met office have had a shocker in this current spell warnings out last minute and forecasts changing every hour

Well the 2 could overla:yahoo:

yes, massive SW shift for that, to get N Sea showers, assume that's what the warning to the NE is

bbc does say dry slot between front and showers, that's us on that map

This, been in numerous warnings including an amber one earlier today and only now Ive had any snow that would call for a warning.

Northern edge of the Wash streamer, that was headed for me is dying. The rest of it is having no problem at crossing the Midlands. What a surprise.

Just a reminder once again: if you are in a warning area it doesn't mean you will get snow; if you are not in a warning area it doesnt me you won't get snow
