weirpig, need a shift NE clearly, my guess for tomorrow is light snow flurries for here, Telford 8 inches, not got over Dec 8 yet

Yep as it stands I think brum west  at the moment  but another shift east is not out the question. Never simple is it ?

Not looking good for the East Midlands at the moment.

BBC national forecast has snow pushing up all the way to Northern England by Friday night. We will all get a pasting if that’s correct. It’s either sticking to its guns or very slow at updating their graphics...

Not at all convinced still, I think it's going to be a matter of 20 miles or so, much like Dec 11th (I think), the heavier stuff stayed south of about Aldridge, very painful.

10th? settle for that! my best event of season 10cms, yes more over W Midlands but was good still

What, this Dec 8, you mean? :D

This was first thing in the morning on that glorious Friday...

The majority of models (Inc EC12Z) are not analysing the weather well over France & Iberia in my opinion. Hirlam seems about the best fit I can see. This could mean we get an earlier #blizzard2018 onset & threatening areas further east too for Thursday morning

intetesting thoughts from Chris Fawkes.

Right, taking bets on that massive shower seemingly heading straight for me.

a) magically disintegrate

b) either go to my north or south

c) split in two with one part going to my North and the other going to my South.

d) the radar shows it hitting me but it doesnt snow anyway

All 4 have happened today :D

Some interesting showers pushing west across North Midlands in the next hour, looks like a semi-streamer setup for Stafford.

I really don’t think this is nailed at all, there will be more changes in the morning I’m sure, I’d be extremely surprised if it stayed as it is either for better of worse, let’s see what the morning brings

What an annoying hobby this is, worse than crac. Bl**dy can't live without monitoring weather conditions all day long. Just hoping spring arrives early and the urge to check the radar reduces

Spot on. That's what happened today here in Coventry. Snowed everywhere apart from here, just few flurries. I bet there are pockets of high pressure putting up fight against any incoming precipitation.

Wash Gap streamer setting up. Either going to be get dumped on in the next few hours or it's going to pass a few miles to my south.

I think south of city will do well from this. Further north where I am there appears to be a gap in the radar returns and maybe the Peak District will swallow some of it up.

That steamer just hitting Nottingham ,and it's coming down nicely..
