Almost wet myself laughing when I saw the weather warnings and Leicester in the triangle of boring doom :D:D lol.

Precipitation does seem to be heading north, only light on the northern extent, but looks like it might get to Leicester. We'll see what happens.

I mean it really is comical...

Fantastic way to start the day - woken up much to my surprise to a complete white out. Moderate snow falling, roads covered. A good couple of inches.

To be fair the rain is well north and east for this time than what even Arpege and Hirlam have it, and both those models show it gaining intensity as it gets further north (warmer air colliding with colder air ?). So fingers crossed still.

This happens almost every year atleast once in Leicester haha. You get used to it.

It is actually snowing here though with a strong wind. Pretty epic cold scenes outside, so I shouldn't kick up too much of a fuss, and it does seem like the snow should only get heavier as the morning progresses.

Morning.

This really has turned into a nowcast situation for today.

as for south staffs, it's white outside but I'm still on the throne puzzling over the radar.

Snow blowing about in the air which is nice to look at but not much on the ground which is frustrating

heating broke at work overnight which wasn’t enjoyable!

I can't figure out the radar this morning, it seems to be acting weird on Rain Today. All I know is that we have had more heavy showers moving in overnight giving an additional coating, down here in Birmingham, there is snow in the air but not a great deal on the ground.

It's been snowing here a while, but nothing on the radar, but back to the main event, Met Office has me down for nothing today, could they be wrong?

They could look at the Radar it's way further East.

This has to be the most over-hyped non-event in weather history. I just want Spring to happen now to save on heating costs. This bitter cold with no snow does nothing for me.

Its snowing pretty steadily in leicester right now to my surprise!!arpege gives around 7cms of snow by midnigght for leicester!!the snow is not settling here is it cos its too light or cos its too windy and its just whipping it around and not giving it time to settle!!

Wahey it's snowing :yahoo:. Still only a thin covering on the ground, though it's filling up and coming down well blown with tiny little drifts on the window ledge. Maybe today will be better than I thought last night after all.

Are u having a laugh?? It’s not really meant to snow until much later and it’s a nowcast situation as always with snow
