Absolutely epic drive from Leicester to my house in Hartshill near Nuneaton. Had to abandon the car a mile short of home. All roads are lethal. Even the A5 is totally covered. The hill up to Hartshill was too much for my rear wheel drive automatic. Still tipping it down.

To be fair while the models have it down to last a lot longer, the pro's at Met Office on their visuals have it dieing out between 9pm and midnight.

Met office have coventry down for heavier snow around 9-10pm?? Looks like the band will intensifying some how??

If it does this could move into the rare snowfall file for our area poss 15cms plus whatever you had before it started. However i think this will be it so more like 7 8cms max plus yesterdays remnants.

Well this is now snowier than yesterday last night by a good way ,loads more acccumulation , up to approx 8cm fresh snow and is now snowing thicker at a good intensity , I thought the calls earlier for an amber warning were knee jerk , but, I can see 15 cm or more by tomorow morning wich would certainly warrant it

all main roads around here are struggling inc a5 could be some great photos in the morning ?

still going well here, wind getting up maybe, out with photos tomorrow

Really wanted to go to the local nature reserves and parks to take snowy photos this weekend. Been waiting ages to do so and thought this week would deliver. Gutted.

Hope so im already at 10cms covering. Even a couple hours of heavy snow will easily push it around 15cms

Just getting going here. Very fine but covering the cars and the bare patches. Radar doesn’t look too proming. But can’t complain snowed for 8 hours yesterday and we have some great drifts just outside the village.

Patches of more intense PPN on both the SW and SE side of the band now....need that to continue as it moves north.

Still fairly heavy here. Roads terrible. Just took the dog on a walk and saw lots of cars struggling and police dealing with an accident.

North of London has intensified quite a bit :D, hopefully that comes our way, sounds about right as the Met says going heavy again for around 10pm

We're staying safely indoors - my chap took the afternoon off on my urging because I didn't want him driving back at 6ish... we live on a hill, and on a slope, if that makes sense! Had to leave the car up the top as it is, where it's level.
