Biggest flakes coming down so far. It's really accumulating now. Best day of this cold spell already.

Seems to becoming a fairly thin band so snowing another 6odd hours maybe a push for the majority apart from those who are in the perfect place. that will also account for the forecasts of around 5cms on the models

I think the met office staff are probably trying to get home for the weekend haha. Still can’t believe we haven’t seen an amber warning for this.

I know and if anything it's getting heavier massive flakes now some of us will easily see 20cm plus.

And still nothing. This is not a spell I will remember fondly. Total rubbish here.

Have some of mine... :)IMG_20180302_081602103_HDR.thumb.jpg.2ef2ae65396e93cac5bd242ea2efce3a.jpg

The latest BBC graphics are still showing the same as they were yesterday, bringing Thursdays low front as far as the central midlands. I think even the West Midlands could see a good covering from this as it seems to linger around for several hours.

Then it goes onto show the Synoptics for Friday once again bringing the snow front through the Midlands:

My lads were sent home from there night shift in gaydon at 1.30 am.. it snowed heavily all the way back to kenilworth, which meant my side of Coventry missed it by 4 miles.. don’t know how the north side faired

About 5cm already and still coming down heavy, no amber warning, and still hours of it to come :D

Image doesn't do justice of how deep or heavy the snow is.

Had a look at this,  (Andy_leics22) got it spot on, it'll make it across the channel but into the SW and South Wales but fizzling out as it does...looks far bigger on the radar though :)

The heavier stuff now arriving, bigger flakes. No way this goes on until midnight though. There's barely anything left south of Birmingham, unless by a miracle it pulls itself back together.

These predicting going on for most of the night and slowly edging further north, and another spell of snow tomorrow night too, then looks like a thaw after that but may take quite a long time to completely thaw if this continues, some of us will have massive depths, even better than December possibly :).

Remember not to take charts as a certainty because many things could change and be different.

My thoughts exactly id expect snow to stop for most by 9pm. Unless like you said it regenerates later.

Bit surprised that this band is dying a slow death already. Meant to be still going strong at 10pm!:unsure2:

Compare the 2 images.
