Heavier period of snow here, turning everything white again.

Roads too busy and wet to stick there though - need that dark to come over and some intense PPN not long after.

1 more round of chaos? What's the harm.

So interesting for east midlanders, Hirlam has the snow dieing off a little in the east by 8pm, only to pep back up after 10pm. Probably not a 100% accurate and it isn't something that appears on the Arpege, but interesting never the less. Hirlam has been good this week...

Could you show us the 5pm as the western extent needs to increase a fair bit by 8pm for that to be right

Starting to get bigger flakes again, coming down hard too but is still been whipped around by wind off roofs. This is great, better than yesterday even and is building up quicker.

Apparently the power has gone out at Birmingham New Street station.

Horrendous out there, I think the front is going to stall now tbh and just pivot around until it fizzles out, just my thoughts though, if it does 15cm is easily achievable

Had an hour or so of micro flakes here but very intense, with bigger flakes at times :-) In looking at the radar, yes it's gradually moving North,  is it me though or does it have an East to Westley flow also ?

Currently; Moderate snow with strong gusts, temps at -2.6c

Hopefully see you next season if we get up! Expect us to spend serious amounts of money if we do. Our owners Fosun are loaded.

still blizzard loads of tiny flakes, drifting as wind is howling, don't think will see a  complete cover, rather the wind died down

Really dont understand why Met Office only put a yellow out when there is heavy snow across the entire central swathe of the country during rush hour on a Friday while people are commuting back from work and to home in London and such.

Thank God I got tonnes of snow Wednesday night/Thursday morning otherwise this would have been so frustrating to watch. Snow band staying about 5 miles to my South.

Pretty unlucky that. Just about managed to scrape into the heavier stuff here, about 1 or 2cm since 3pm, so nothing much really. I feel your pain though been similar here in the past.
