I wasn't referring to this easterly. I was referring to the breif easterly we had a few weeks ago and I was right. We had like 0.2mm of snow. Plus the ICON had a problem with the graphics clearly

Nothing more depressing than sitting in an empty shop freezing my bits off whilst the weather really isn't that bad outside at all. As soon as Shrewsbury folk hear the word snow you know it's going to be waste of a day!

Well and truly in that special gap now where dreams are crushed. I Can't complain had some but not great amounts. Slightly annoying as that derby person says best snow in 5 years.  Haha I mean what we are like 5 miles away.

I feel your frustration the December snow didn’t touch us.

I had a couple of inches in December very much like this though watching and willing the radar for better. But a dog walk in the snow before it melted was pretty good. Those that had nothing then and now. They are who I feel for.

If anything falls, then with this wind, which has recently increased incidently, then this this would be a very severe event.

Further to my post above about the Netweather Radar.

I mentioned that the extent of the eastern side of the tilt had reached North Norfolk.

Well it has now reached the Wash.

Guess what ---

It has immediately fired up a Wash streamer heading straight for the West Midland's conurbation area.

Things could get interesting around lunch time.

More to come later I think.

How are you identifying this streamer ?

I can't see one, but then I am not particularly adept in the art of model/radar watching.

Slightly disappointed reading that below. That's what you get when you click on the yellow warning for TODAY. It states the warning is now in effect for Friday, meaning they don't see any northward or eastward progression of Emma later.

Be interesting to see if the warnings change through the day to shift things eastward.

Yes noticed it. Will be an interesting watch.. hopefully will come across a bit higher this time as had the same think as today but just below from it the other day. Leicester might get a hit from that though.

Lol its fine. My comment was a bit out of order as well.  Just the disagreement in model shows it will be a nowcast radar watching event

Those moaning in Shopshire and Leicestershire don't be greedy you have had loads of decent snowfalls this winter this is the first real dumping we have had here and we have i would say between 20-25cm so far and still snowing.

That's easy for people that have done ok in this easterly blast, I'm from down the road in Hinckley and we haven't had that much actually lying snow (7cm in December when everyone else had 15cm+.) I've lived here for 30 years and can only remember a few decent events when I was much younger.
