Incoming!  Let's hope it pushes it's way through.

On my Rain alarm radar the showers do appear to be getting more intense as that band moves Noth West towards us.

Sorry for the rant

Starting to get seriously peeved off with how unlucky we are in Hinckley with snow compared to other areas! Very jealous of the streamer out of the wash. That would have been us 2 nights ago but hey ho. If I'm being really honest just want the cold and snow now to bugger off. I'd rather not live on radar watching and watch it systematically miss us nearly everytime.

Rant over- think I feel a tiny bit better now lol

Don't worry about it your not alone it is still hammering it down 250m from my house across the road at a lamp post in sight but very very light here has been the same all week. Very much like the Leicester guy. You could not make it up. Its funny because its just my luck I had the same growing up in oxford. Shocking luck. I already know what will happen with the Thursday snow.

Here's my prediction of the week in full..

Looks to me like Nottingham has gone from zero to hero, hit the absolute jackpot tonight. Constant streamer for the last couple of hours, with more orange echoes on radar currently. Probably got some of the highest totals in the midlands now.

Just measured window ledge 2 inches currently (city centre) still falling ,lightly though. All that is from tonight, obviously not huge amounts but looks great and very orange with light pollution. I think Lincoln/Grantham will have some really decent totals.

Seem to be on the very edge of the streamer in Stafford as it fizzles out overhead. Still unexpected so a bonus! Is it likely to intensify any?

Both the Met Office and BBC apps for here show heavy snow in a few hours time. Maybe from that line of showers.

Nottingham winning out tonight and lots more to come by the look of it. Hope we all join them tomorrow. My boiler’s just packed up too, what joy, gonna blowdry the condensate pipe, see if I can get it going again.

Really decent covering now, 5cm or more from nothing earlier..... unexpected and very lucky but much appreciated

Glad you are in the luck.

Cant believe how frustrating this little streamer is, it's literally sat 3/4 miles from the north and won't budge.

One line of showers to far north, the other line too far south.  The black country snow shield fully working lol.

It is so frustrating and you can guarantee tomorrows snow and Fridays will turn into a non event.

Yep, now -6.2°C here, where it was -7.0°C earlier.

That would indicate increased cloud and snow approaching I hope.

A few flakes of snow falling here now in North Oxfordshire, so might reach Wellesbourne eventually?

Just keeps coming, must be 4 inches in places that had kept snow from earlier. Dont mind missing out this weekend and I really hope you guys in the West/Northwest Midlands get snow tomorrow/Friday. Polar Warsaw I remember from the met-m0nkey days how you kept missing out on snow.

Looking at the radar don't think it's going to last much longer over Stafford. Still a nice covering on all roads and pavements
