Should see snow showers pushing across the region tomorrow. Hopefully I'll get some more light ones that melt within 5 seconds of the sun coming out despite the temperature being -5000 degrees. Then get a nice and boring end to the week while the south gets plastered. Hooray for the 'Beast'!

I guarantee that come tomorrow night things will look so different regarding the end of the week shenanigans so why are we all so hung up on the runs today? It will either stall over us giving us sh** loads or it won’t make it we will no more tomorrow night and then Thursday so let’s see how it pans out.

i no it looks crap atm but even the pros are unsure where it’s going..

plenty more changes to come.

ps if it stays south dry and cold I’d rather take a gamble with it pushing north and turning milder if we get snow out of it tbh

Guys tonight's GFS is a massive upgrade for cold.

Agree, maybe more snow events, or potential snow/mixed precip events.

There is virtually no wind here at all, which does not help.

What happened to the beast from the east. It's more like the fairy from the dairy.

Had  little dusting last night and a better covering tonight but would have thought we all in the Midlands would have done better than this.

just after 5pm this evening in N Leicestershire.

havnt had time to edit properly

Nice vid Matty, should do one above Barrow, was a little disappointed with the snow amounts this morning but a few beefy showers have made it look a tad more respectable now.

The snow is shown for Saturday, Sunday and Monday on the GFS. It is perfection for a massive Midlands snow event.

It is what people like Chiro and GP were suggesting for another couple of weeks of cold and snow.

The GFS was the chief protagonist for the break-down, It has switched in a big way to the GEM solution.

It is a massive upgrade....

Haha love how they have it snowless at both Liverpool and Nottingham. The weather gods even accounted for the possibility I would want to go back home to see snow.

Yeah iv looked now, it does look good but don’t think I can handle all the changes lol, just want a bit of consistency now but suppose don’t we all. If we can get the snow and keep the cold for bit longer it would be great. Might even feel like the beast has bitten.

hAha all the beast from the east stuff is rather annoying, does anyone else think that?

Upgrade for cold yes but I'm not sure I agree about snow. It all seems to fade away before it gets here.

I have driven from Redditch to Coventry and back down to North Oxfordshire today and there is no worthwhile accumulation of snow.

Redditch probably had the most but not enough to cover the ground.

Coventry had lots of heavy showers around midday, but then the sun came out.

It has for Thursday and Friday ....but look at Sat/Sun/Mon and there will be no thaw afterwards.
