It's heading for me - so is sure to die out .... :D

Lol, maybe! Think Northants might benefit a bit. Is going to go South of me for sure?

Shower has moved away and is pepping up again. Unbelievable.

Nothing more on the radar for here. Had lots of people telling me showers have dumped several cm in a few minutes. Would love to have experienced that.

What I find most interesting is that the MetO not-a-forecast has consistently shown a max temp here of -2c on Thursday.  That would be totally remarkable regardless of any snow

I have never recorded an ice day in March

bbbboring, would rather have the snow

I'm with you on that one.....The only one I remember was March 2013, Around the 20th it snowed for 24hrs with a total of 20cm plus and it didn't get above freezing all day.

Just got back from a walk, air is remarkably dry but during my 30 minutes walk the winds have significantly picked up.

Think that may have  been the day of the great slushfest in Evesham - snowed all day and by evening we had around 2cm, of slush ..... temps here hovering above freezing all day.   This week wont be so marginal :)

Does anyone use Metcheck? Few days ago it was showing 23cm snow for Coventry, gradually it has downgraded to mere 3cm

I’m a massive cold lover but can’t help feeling that this cold spell so far has been a bit of a let down, purely from an imby perspective. The odd heavy shower here in Nott’s but it certainly seems like a rather tame beast so far! Lol :D

i really hope Friday and perhaps the weekend can live up to expectations but I won’t be holding my breath

i remember walking through knee deep snow and 8-10ft drifts in the beast from east in 1991, that was amazing

yes, beasts tame compared to good old days, this reminds me of this 1 day beast, mini blizzards through the day, but short patchy dustings at best

Someone has posted a snow risk map showing a potential of up to 100cm snow for our region, was it a joke or real?

Of course it was a joke. This is the Midlands. They really meant "1.00mm". :p

Lasted about 2 mins. Put about 1cm that quick if we get that for an hour would be very deep but they don't last.

Highly irritating but the way the winds have shifted slightly has completely ruled getting any showers through the NE Midlands/Derby down into Staffordshire tonight. I was watching showers line up from Lincoln and hit us head on this afternoon, but things have shifted slightly more easterly and about a 100 mile dry zone has opened up on the coast from Hull south to the top of the wash - unfortunately, the exact building/landing zone we need it in to produce for Birmingham northwards.

Very annoying as if tonight had fallen with a bit of luck, then it was the chance to get something more significant.
