Ay, we need it further NE, could be looking at a foot in Hereford area, 1cm slush here

ECM has it a bit further north. Also has the front on Friday heaviest. Bloody hope it's right and not the others. Although in any case we should hopefully get a few cm at end of the week. Was hoping it would be significant at one point but, such as is always the way, it's looking less now.

Time to set out for my usual evening stroll, methinks. Gotta keep up with the exercise, a little bit of cold ain't no excuse!

Bish

You'll be wanting your warm vest, I think...

Despite trying it's hardest to die rapidly on approach, the last shower before sunset left a dusting. Made for a nice end to the day.

This is as far as the BBC forecast went. 3pm Thursday. Snow for most of the Midlands but dry in the far north.

According to the Met Office site, I'm one mile outside the amber zone. Obviously that doesn't mean anything, but it'd only take a slight NE-wards shift to put me right in the middle of that. It's going to be an interesting couple of days...!

Derby, Notts and Leicester could do well from this band of showers soon.

Hello mate, welcome back. I suspect you did quite well off the NW'erly a couple weeks back.

Hello mate, how have you been keeping? Well I hope. Yeah, was a slow start but we got a train of showers in the evening that left us with a couple of CM's - 1 of a couple of good streamers that have set up from the NW this winter.

Radders! Hello mate, I remembered you the other day when I resumed posting on here for the first time in ages. Good to have you back with us :good:

Are you the chap who used to live near to a power station or something, or am I getting you mixed up with somebody else?

Bish

Evening Bish, I hope you are well. Nice to see a couple of faces from a few years back. I hope you are well, I read your posts when you originally returned a couple of weeks back. That's me, about 200M's from the bloody thing! Can't miss it. It's out of commission now, so here is hoping that will help bring some extra snow!

Back on topic - looking towards Lincoln/Nottingham for showers tonight, few on radar currently that seem to organised themselves into a little line of showers.

Fingers crossed.

Not holding my breath for Friday and Saturday, too far north and as we always find out, the further north you are in these scenarios the lighter and patchier the PPN seems to be - hope to be wrong though!

Yes sadly its fizzled to nothing!

Theres showers all the way up the East coast of the country making it far inland yet theres a gap on the Lincolnshire coast for some reason. This was our last chance for at least 4-5 hours.

these showers are kicking off now, yeah, maybe a fabled Humber streamer setting up, feeding showers in to midlands, last one put another down 2cms, and looks like 3 or more bands coming in over next couple of hours, I wonder if the colder air creeping in is setting them off.
