I agree but yesterday was it not all over by Friday/ Saturday??

The colder air is lingering more. As long as this low hits and I can have a few hours outside with the boy. I'll be happy  after Dec I'm not to greedy

Just down in Oxford till Wednesday visiting family and we've just had a moderate shower that left a dusting! Nice surprise as the showers had been missing us all day.

You haven't missed much in northants so far not even a dusting.

Hi Guys....

Been outside all day laying edging for paths.:cold:

Temperature fell to -1.8C overnight with a dp of -8.0.

A few snow flurries started up this morning, but it was OK,until pm when  a reasonably heavy snow shower covered the ground, which has mostly gone now.

Current temeprature is -1.6C, dp is -6.7C.                  It is clear now.

Looking forward I was checking the radar for more showers and came across this -

 https://en.sat24.com/en/eu/infraPolair

From this looks as if tomorrow morning's snow (now forecast to miss the central Midlands) is heading straight for the Wash and hence us, and not for Northern England as is being currently forecast. This would just graze the N West Midlands on the new warnings.

So, I am not without hope that we may still see a dumping in the morning in and around Bham and Leicester..

MIA

To be honest today was really about getting the cold in situ. Whilst tomorrow doesnt look great convective snow could increase as uppers drop lower so its not all over. End of the week still has a way to go before its resolved. Think there will be flip flops in position and extent of the warm air flow north

Getting the feeling we will have to rely on Friday for our bit. Which is worrying because I was never relying on that was hoping tuesday would deliver.

But fingers crossed anyway hope its not a non event by end of week. I am not moaning about it.

Fun watching

3 hours into the Met Office warning time for showers intensifying. Theyre still decaying.

Strange forecast from shaf on BBC Midlands. Still shows low hitting north and West Midlands  stating we are not in the amber at this stage  I really don't think they know we're this low is going.

Looks like some gentle snow is heading for Coventry/Rugby area, with a slightly heavier band behind it... I hope so anyway :)

Thats from the Netweather radar :)

Where is this low tonight meant to be entering England tonight, so I can keep an eye on it on the radar a touch south from what the models are showing could mean snow/no snow

Here is my favourite picture - Wed's 850 temps - it looks like the great Viking saga wolf, Fenris, who eats the sun and battles Thor at Ragnarok, the end of the world... here he is, his great wolf-jaws agape, ready to gobble up our defenceless little island... :o
