If we end this week with a cumulative total of 2cm, then the beast from the east will have been the least snowiest snow event of the several we've had this winter.

expected to wake up to car needed scraping but dry and above zero here.

sounds like a few experienced posters are downgrading cold spell so its just a case of watching radar now as ain board is very southern based

light snow here in Wednesbury.  Encouraging that the showers are making it over to the West Midlands, considering there is Little in the way of wind yet

Light snow with moderate flakes in the air in Harborne, you can see them settle and with any intensity there’d be a covering ❄️

Bring it on this week!

The fact the snow is getting so far westward already bodes well for the rest of the week. There was going to be no snow here today if you believe the models.

Considering we're only a few short hours into a days-long event, that is already one very encouraging looking radar right now. Just a bit more oomph needed to push those showers further west across the whole Midlands region :good:

Currently -1.3°C with a dp of -4.6°C

Does anyone know if the winds are forecast to pick up during the day, to make some of the heavier showers move further towards us?

Snowing! quite well just starting to lie, expecting flurries through the day, with thaws inbetween
