I would like some warmer weather, but it is still February, so there MAY be some surprises, but looking at the current charts, they always seem to be 7 days or so away.

Nothing more than sleet here this morning. The higher hills to the north ( Axe Edge area) are still solidly white but where I am the cover is down to about 70%.

We had a good event in December but since then from my point of view this winter has been crap. I know some have seen some snow but no real lasting snow and horrible days like today. The outlook looks rubbish as well.

Pardon? What outlook are you viewing?...

With the SSW occurring as we speak, I think we could be in for a surprise in the next 10-15 days.

Ay looks okay after tomorrow, not much rain, hopefully dry days, my guess is the beast will hit Spain maybe France, with mild SW'lys over far north of Scotland

One 60 second blast of sleet and that's that.

Ever the optimist

Could well be cold enough later next week for further snow. Though would probably need a low pressure system to come up from the south or in from the west for widespread snowfall.

More in the way of dry and probably quite chilly weather before then, once tomorrow's filth is out of the way. I'll take that over mild and wet.

Yep here also   was very sudden...

Temperature is falling quickly to now down to 3.6C from 4.2C inside a couple of minutes.

It looked like the back edge of the front as reported from NW of Bham.

Still a few flakes and temp has fallen to 3.0C now...(Inside 2 minutes).

MIA

Yeah just the back edge sadly, but didn’t expect anything so fun to see for the 5 minutes it lasted!

Can see the clearance to the West/North-West now. A nice little surprise that was.

Spain and maybe France? It will do a good job to hit Spain without hitting France :yahoo::friends:
