Considering BBC were saying they wouldn't be suprised if the snow showers reached as far as London, the fact that they're not even reaching the West Midlands is a let down but not suprised to be honest. Unless ARPEGE is on board, Im always skeptical

They're spreading into the NW Midlands. Main stream of showers is half a mile to my north. Showers to my west are dying just a few miles from me though. My luck has run out this winter but then, even when we've had snow it's been a lot less than was forecast and a lot less than large parts of the region.

Well Met Office have certainly upgraded length of snow period for Walsall so we shall see. BBC still nothing

Same here for Telford - I'm trying to keep a general mental note of who turns out to be most reliable and the MetO (forecast and warnings) really are best for Telford's precip - although they were lousy when I lived in Edinburgh, where XC were excellent - different software, I guess... for Telford, though, it seems MetO are most reliable for precip, esp snow, and XC and BBC are really poor.

Nothing here all morning, btw. MetO now reckons 3-7pm is the main probability, whilst BBC and XC reckon 12-1pm... watch and wait, watch and wait...

Well, the Euro4 looks good this afternoon. In fact, showers are beginning to a line and head straight for me. It shows some settling snow too.

well models seem poor this morning, but what a great morning sat watching heavy snow showers piling in, nothing much settled here yet,

wish i had altitude of TM, but 190mtrs not to bad, great watching the snow blowing across the valley.

looks like lot more potential today and Tuesday

The shower activity seems to be lessening to the W/NW on the radar so I've just been outside with my trusty ruler. 4.5cm lying now, and 5.5cm at 340 mts. The temperature ranges from 1.0 to 1.3 in the brief sunny intervals to 0.0 to 0.3c in the snow showers.
