Same issue until the last hour really here, it has stuck to hedges and trees and is a powder consistancy but struggled with any tarmac. After last nights below temps and hovering at 0C this surprises me. However the front seems to have pepped up and its much better now, looks like another half hour until it clears.

Interestingly, the Netweather radar in the last few frames seems to have shown the snow pepping up a bit in a few places!

Yep...

Been snowing steadily and getting heavier here for about 45 minutes.

Looks as though the front has pepped up a bit.

Now settled on all grass, cars to about 1 cm and just starting to cover tarmac surfaces.

Temp was 0,9C when it strated in earnest but is now at 0.5C with a dew point of -1.6C

I did wonder whether if the front was delayed it may start to pep up.

Been playing golf all afternoon in the few flakes that fell, but it was clear that the front had not arrived at that point.

Anyway good news for people south and east of here.

7 hours of persistent, powerdy, dry snow, with air temperature and dew point below freezing after a cold night that froze the ground.

The result?

Wet surfaces and a tiny, patchy dusting.

Baffled.

Just wasn't heavy enough for long enough every time it started to settle dandruff mode would activate lol. Thursday still has potential also. Fingers crossed.

Thursday into Friday is an all rain event in the Midlands. Only chance of snow in up north over high ground

Agree there, just a normal system, nothing cold at all

Had some very light snow this evening in Evesham - enough to dampen the pavements so maybe an ice risk in the morning.   But I think thats it for this week.   Still, that's 3 months running I have seen snow!   Can't remember when that last happened .....

This has gotta be the worse hyped up snow spell in recent years. Tiny flakes in Walsall. On another point how anyone prefers this over warm temperatures is beyond my belief. Freezing

Who hyped it and why did you believe them?  Been much as expected here :)

So annoyed! I was in work (at the karate school behind the Olton Tavern), and could see all these parents bringing their kids in covered in snowflakes but was too busy to step outside. And when I finally did it had all stopped. Just got home to Knowle and barely a flake on the grass anywhere here... ?

Yes, It would of been quite a dumping if that front did not die out:cold:

An odd one, especially now as the snow on grass is so dry but the pavements are like icerinks already. That said it is another day to add with falling snow, we've done well for both 'wet' and 'dry' snow as well this winter.
