Up in the Lickey Hills, circa 5cms here but I can confirm light rain is falling, even at 250m asl.

Still raining and bits of sleet hitting my windows.

But the temperature has only just started to rise at 0.7C and the DP is still negative at -0.2C..

The warmer air must have sneaked in over the top - whilst the cold air hogs the surface.

It should be good news for people in N.East England for later on.

DWW...

Nod nod, wink wink - know what you mean. I'll stay out of the MAD thread for a while!:nonono:

still snowing moderately here in Northampton with a good few cms covering everywhere.  was a nice surprise to wake up to i have to admit.  Just a shame the mild sector is inevitable and its now just a case of waiting for the rain to take over.  oh well it is good while it lasted.

Well that was a good 3 and a half hour snow event. Got a good 3cm before it turned to rain. Definitely not a waste like some people were saying.

Still snowing here 2 mile out of Ashbourne,  but ordinary cars struggling up the hill or turning round  towards  Carsington water on the B5035 but ok in 4x4.

Probably the best snow of winter in Nottingham

Even the latest euro 4 is woefully inaccurate ! The automated Met Office app decided to show heavy snow symbols about 20 mins before it started to actually snow heavily

I will definitely be looking more at the Icon model in the future!

A nice 2cm covering now being decimated by persistent rain.
