Full on heavy snow in Solihull! ?

But a little wet and sleety ?

Yes still on the damp side, but Steve M was correct with the DP falling to below 0 (It is still at -0.2c) it is now settling on all surfaces with the layer of glazed ice underneath.

PS It is now getting even heavier and is settling on the trees.

Seems to be case.

Here it has turned back to sleety mizzle again.

Looks as if heavier precip is required for flakes.

Temp has risen up to 1.5C now and DP is -0.1C.

Can't believe how much it's snowing here full on heavy snow and sticking ?

Where's here Andy?

Most of us put a location in our profile.

It does not have to be detailed  (eg Rubery or Solihull will do).

Welcome to the forum by the way.

That front looks like it's starting to breakup and losing intensity a little now, but still very wet snow/sleet is falling. Temp has fallen down to 1.0C now. If this had fallen overnight then a significant fall may have occured.

Still rain in Northampton although on closer inspection becoming more sleety

Surprising to see it snowing fairly heavy here atm. No signs at all of it settling though.

Pretty well all of the forecasts have us down as light rain today - apart from the ones insisting we have zero precipitation (Netweather, are you listening?)

The snow is starting to settle even on the wet tarmac of the car-park now... still coming down steadily, bigger flakes now, sometimes a faint easterly angle to it but mostly just still dead vertical.
