Light rain, barely visible. temp at 1.6C so snow unlikely, unless precipitation become heavier.

Seems to be case.

Here it has turned back to sleety mizzle again.

Looks as if heavier precip is required for flakes.

Temp has risen up to 1.5C now and DP is -0.1C.

That is a massive upgrade for tomorrow by the (admittedly well dodgy) netweather forecast.  Mild air arriving much later. Pretty much anywhere around here other than Derby city centre (me!) would have solid heavy snow all day by the looks of that! Thoughts?

Sleet..

Whilst it is promising you should also look at the snow risk/chance column.

Max is 60% so not at all certain.

Light snow here but it won't amount to much as we're right on the northern edge of it. Still got 3.5cm lying from a couple of days ago, current temp' is -0.2c.

Radar appears  to show that the whole lot is sleet over the central Midlands with the snow to the North (Peak District) and the North West (welsh hills) and also over the Brecons. It is sliding ESE.

Meanwhile another heavier burst shows flakes appearing.

Been outside topping up the bird feeders (they have been very active this morning) and was surprised by how crunchy the lawn is.

It’s more snow than sleet here but it’s very wet and won’t settle.
