My daughter is stuck in traffic trying to get on to the M80 in Glasgow. Should she just turn round and try again in a while?  There is a gap on the radar coming.

@hawesy. Just back fro theA92 near Dobbies. There is a skiff along the A92 and I could see some lying in Barnhill. You may just have a slight covering. Dry here now but quite cloudy.

Big mad mental snaw here in Larbert. All main roads covered again. Gritty McBawface or whatever he called will have his work cut out tonight.

Somebody might as well be chucking rice in my face when I go outside...

Coming down thick and fast now after a bit of a gap in the snow ‘blob’.  Still very lean looking compared to photos of higher altitude and more rural locations, but all surfaces now have snow cover again. :)

Snowing at home. Light at the minute but the radar looks great if it can stay on track! Nothing here in the city center yet - waiting to see if it's rain, sleet or snow!

Pouring down here, SS is going to have fun at Soutra on the way home. A7 black in bits but snow drifting onto the bends. I noticed the snow has turned sort of wettish though but it's still lying.

A bit snowier looking than half an hour ago but the band of ppn. seems to be sinking south? Seems determined to give the M74 corridor through South Lanarkshire down towards Moffat another pasting!

Looks like as usual it will go south of Edinburgh and we will miss out but hopefully I’m wrong !

Yeah - literally just clipped us and no more. Looked like it was on a good track for a bit but it's veered more straight easterly again. At the risk of annoying @Blitzen :D it is frustrating how often it happens!

Some varying depths across different surfaces.

got 26cm on the shed roof:

16cm on the bin lids, although they were cleared at some point earlier in the week:

20cm on the paths:

And for anyone worrying, there's still some beefy showers out west after that big batch moved through the central belt:

although I'll be honest, I haven't a bloody clue what trajectory they are on ?

Out walking the dog again and it started raining on the way back. Could go either way as it gets properly dark. Feeling is snow will mostly be gone by morning.

Same up here as there's been all week. No snow, no rain, no nothing. In fact it's difficult to believe that parts of Scotland have been buried when in most places around here there's a dusting at best. It's been cold though, so in that sense at least it's felt like winter.
