This band which is moving towards central belt and die west looks absolutely potent! Will be interesting to see how this all pans out but looking like it will live up to the warnings for once ?

I'd feel much more excited about this red warning if I didn't have a niece working in North Berwick currently trying to convince her boss to let her drive home early to a village along the coast road.... :(

Other niece and this niece's boyfriend got let out from their works early, but little niece's boss seems to be totally thick. Grr.

Ridiculously irresponsible of your niece’s boss. I hope she gets home safely.  My son stays in central Norwich, they’ve had over 9 inches of snow with a new amber warning for the next few hours but his boss told the staff via WhatsApp this morning they had to get to work (restaurant situated in a village south east of the city). He’s very experienced driving in snow, having lived in French Alps for a few skiing seasons, but got 100metres along main road and got stuck and that’s in the sheltered city centre.  Companies should put safety first.

Stay safe everyone - I hope you all get home ok.

Great photos folks.

If any of you are having issues uploading photos due to the size ,  I recommend downloading "Photoshrinker" app  ( other apps are also available ).    This will reduce the size of photos so they can be uploaded.

The 06z Euro4 is full of snow for some parts:

And then at +24hrs you can clearly see the trough and convergence line which were on the FAX chart discussed earlier:

Probs best to window watch and radar guess alongside the charts.

Catch

Cheers, will take those first two :) Hope everyone is enjoying what they have!

(Going to shut up now lol)

Well I just sullied the virgin snow in the back garden with a tape measure and my big clumpy wellies. Difficult to find a 'level' bit but between 8 and 10 cm on average. Also cleared off the cars and the driveway, doubt it'll stay clear long but it's better than doing it all in one go tomorrow.

Also, if you e.g. take photos within whatsapp on your phone (and send them to someone so they're saved and appear in your album), they're already nicely sized for quick forum uploading.
