A balmy 7c at Leuchars this lunchtime. Snow all gone except for the bigger drifts in field edges and roadsides.

Yes it's a great park, the animals are well looked after and have plenty of space to roam around. We were there in July 2016, the weather was hot and sunny. Later that evening we were hit by some amazing thunderstorms in Aviemore :)

Not weather related, but check oot the size of this.

That's big enough tae lift @Hairy Celt aff a moor.

I was very lucky to spot one today at Ardtornish, Almost Jurassic looking such a big majestic bird.

Busy day delivering and selling hay and neeps in bright sunshine .A real weather market has developed as many people are short of feed for sheep cattle and horses. Outwintered livestock even with good shelter from trees etc have consumed more feed to cope with the mud /wet /extreme cold. The mud  is  really bad today after the heavy sleet of yesterday. A frost tonight will be very welcome to help dry things up.. Currently clear and 1c

If any of the above comes off there are going to be a  lot of grumpy farmers.

There was definitely one here today after shifting electric fence in neeps for cows with a kilo of mud attached to each welly and then working  outside in mud /sunshine most of the day came in shattered. Fell asleep after tea and woke up more human according to family.

Fook it's quiet in 'ere, where'd you all go?

We thawed.

Nice drive to work this morning in the sunshine, with snow still on most of the ground and wispy mist around. Felt quite wintry. Noticeably less snow on the way home though, but it was the rain of the last two days that really did the damage there rather than today's sun.

Yes we saw bits and pieces of sunshine yesterday which were very welcome after a grey week. 7.4c was the max. You’re temp will continue to be suppressed by snow cover, of course!

Frosty and clear start today, -2c.

Hazy sunshine this morning, icy, no wind, temp 0C.  Yesterday’s muddy slush and the "pond" in the garden has completely vanished.

There was a nice dawn chorus earlier today. It's funny to think in another four weeks or so I'll be on swallow watch.

First oyster catcher calling over the fields this morning a sign of spring here but about two weeks later than normal, daffs still only about one inch above soil surface, crocus now out and snowdrops in full flower all running well behind the recent milder winters. Frosty this moning at 0c.

Stunning day here with crystal clear blue skies and temp up to 6C which is helping to quickly melt the remaining snow - though I do see some convective clouds starting to bubble up which hopefully won't but a shade on things.

Some heat in that sun now and lovely sitting outside in it with no wind and skylarks singing their heart out nearby - birds definitely getting into the mood of spring here.  Plants also making up for lost time, these crocuses were under 8 inches of snow on Sunday!
